California, I am home… For the next 3 months!
I have officially arrived in Northern California and it has been a crazy few days. Upon arriving in California, my Mom and I literally took planes, trains (buses), and automobiles to get here. We first flew to Minnesota and as soon as we got off the plane, our next flight was already boarding (talk about stressful)!! We then had to flag down a golf cart and we were driven to our boarding flight, all the way across the airport (thank you Father!! We would have never made our connecting flight if we were walking). After we landed in California, we rode a bus to the rental cars and then got our car to drive 2 hours north. Since we have landed my Mom and I have been running around town shopping for the essentials I will need & spending much needed quality time together.
When we first landed we got off the plane and stepped into 114° weather (we had just enjoyed 70° weather in Illinois!!) from there we were off to drive 2 hours north to my new home. The drive was very desolate, the grass was dry and there was no civilization for miles! Where in the world was I going??

As our drive came closer to an end, civilization was in sight! My new home was a town of about 80,000 people surrounded by mountains (I haven’t been able to clearly see any of the mountains yet because of forest fires). On Sunday night, we were able to attend Bethel Church and experience the amazing worship and teachings.

The next few days I was able to soak in as much one on one time with my Momma as I could before she flew back home. On my Mom’s last day in California I was crazy emotional, I couldn’t even think about leaving my mom and staying here without crying. Needless to say, I already miss my Momma!! These few days so many emotions have been going through my brain, I am absolutely nervous for what is to come this next week but I have to keep finding reminders of why the Father has me in this place at this time.
