cleaning out the clutter

More recently I’ve been unsubscribing from businesses to de clutter my email. I use to feel this need to be subscribed to all of the businesses for a fear of missing out on a good deal. The reality is that when I saw a good deal show up in my inbox, I rarely acted on it.

This sense of “missing out” on a good deal cluttered my inbox literally but it also cluttered my mental space. I was always searching for the best deal instead of taking that time to rest in His presence.

Now I know what you may be thinking.

Hannah, how does a a few emails from businesses, make your life cluttered & take away time with God??

Let me answer,

In my quiet time, my mind would wander because I wanted to be the most efficient with my time. I would pray & then mid prayer think about what I needed to do throughout the day & think about my inbox.

In this process of decluttering, I have taken time to recognize what I actually need & what is taking up space.

Take time to clear away the things you don’t need, or don’t use as much. Keep what is most important to you & recognize the beautiful simplicity of your life.

Hannah
