far as the East is from the West

5 years ago I was preparing to graduate High School, deciding on where I wanted to go to college. I applied to schools only in southern states – Alabama, Kentucky, and Mississippi. I was determined to leave Illinois and experience a different life. I had picked out my dream school in Alabama & was looking for roommates but something in me just couldn’t fully commit.

5 years ago, I had planned on going to school to study Nutrition & Dietetics. I had dreamed about after college I would work as a holistic Nutritionist working to bridge the knowledge gap within healthy eating. I dreamed that I would be married & I would be living in the South.

5 years later, I never went to the university in Alabama. Instead I took a gap year after high school with YWAM, spending 3 months in Redding California and 2 months in the Middle East. I am still super passionate about holistic nutrition, even more so now. I am still living in Illinois but now with my husband (!!!) that I met at our high school youth group!
